On the afternoon of April 4, ProfessorLynda Yates, Vice Dean of Macquarie’s Faculty of Human Sciences, and Liu Yinyin,Senior Manager of MacquarieChina,had a discussion about issues including joint educationprograms after they arrived at CFS. They had a reception in the Teaching Buildingby Professor Han Jiqin, Vice Dean of CFS Cao Xinyu, Xu Li from the EnglishDepartment of CFS and some other teachers. Wei Wei from the Office ofInternational Relations also joined the discussion.
Wei Wei gave an introduction of NJAU, includingthe history, academic disciplines, scientific research and internationalrelations of NJAU to the guests after they received a warm welcome by Prof. HanJiqin. Wei Wei’s introduction focused on the cooperation of education and thepolicy of joint education;Cao Xinyu introduced CFS of NJAU. Professor Yates, as the vice dean in chargeof international relations in Macquarie’s Faculty of Human Sciences, introducedthe majors of undergraduate students and courses of graduate students in thelinguistics department in detail after he made a introduction of teaching andresearching of Macquarie’s Faculty of Human Sciences. Both sides discussed thepotential cooperation of the joint education of MTI majors, confirming the intentionfor co-operation.
